Engage your students with this hands-on resource, comprising both classroom and laboratory activities about one of the most important functions of the ecosystem! It will help you understand your students' prior knowledge on the subject, complement their knowledge and develop their skills to research all the factors that play key role in photosynthesis. Plus... it is also fun! My students had a great time performing the starch photography experiment, printing pictures on plant leaves. What is more, it is aligned with NGSS Disciplinary Core Ideas LS2B and C, Crosscutting Concepts: Energy and Matter and Science Practice: Engaging in Argument from Evidence. The educational material consists of the worksheet that guides the teacher and students step-by-step through all the important topics about photosynthesis in a comprehensive way.

Everything your students need to know about the earth's interior, plate tectonics, earthquakes and volcanoes in one activity! It also includes extension activities suitable for 7-8th grade students. My students are always curious about the formation of the earth, the cause and effects of geological phenomena and are happy to search for information and examples to support scientific explanations. It is aligned with NGSS Core Disciplinary Ideas ESS1C and 2B, Cross-cutting Concepts: Cause and Effect and Science Practice: Analyzing and Interpreting Data. The educational resource consists of the worksheet that guides the teacher and students step-by-step through all the important topics about the inside of the earth in a comprehensive way.

Nutrition "Which food do I need and how can I tell?"

Help your students gain insight into their nutritional habits and realize their healthy and ... not so healthy food choices! The aim of this activity is to encourage the students to read food labels in order to collect and analyze nutritional information and have them think critically about the products they buy for food. It is suggested for implementation in 7 and 8th grade. As a first step, discuss with your students about the food pyramid as a tool for recording and assessing their food choices and then use the nutritional information worksheet to practice data collection from food labels and promote informed nutritional choices.
